VALDOSTA, Ga. - In a remarkable display of skill and teamwork, #7 Dalton State Roadrunners secured a commendable 2nd place finish at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta on Monday and Tuesday. The Lady Birds ended the tournament at 922 (+56).
 
#3 SCAD-Savannah (Ga.) won the team championship at 885 (+21). Behind Dalton State in third was Juco #5 Eastern Florida State at 927 (+63). #8 Southeastern (Fla.) (929, +65) was fourth, with #13 Truett-McConnell (Ga.) (937, +73) rounded out the top 5.

RECAP
The team, competing against seven other squads, ended the event with a total score of +56, marking a significant achievement in their season. Key player Jia Kataria was particularly outstanding, finishing tied for 4th with a commendable score of +7. Tylah James also showed her prowess, tying for 11th with a score of +13. Contributions from Sara Burger and Hanna Bullard were crucial in bolstering the team's performance and securing the runner-up finish.

#7-ranked Dalton State will hit the links again March 14-15 in Opelika, Ala., when they compete in the LTU Spring Break Invitational at RTJ Grand National.
