Dalton State Women’s Golf Ranked No. 2 In Latest WGCA Poll

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has released its third Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll of the Fall 2025 season, and Dalton State College continues to make waves nationally. The Roadrunners are ranked No. 2 in the NAIA, trailing only Keiser University, which holds the top spot as the unanimous No. 1.
 
Dalton State earned 80 points in the poll, solidifying its position among the elite programs in the country. Marian (Ind.) at No. 3 with 73 points. SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) and SCAD Savannah (Ga.) round out the top five.
 
The ranking reflects Dalton State's dominant fall season, highlighted by a 16-stroke victory at the Lady Roadrunner Fall Invitational at Dalton Golf & Country Club this past week. The team posted rounds of 305-302-299 for a 906 total, led by Jia Kataria, and Sara Burger. Burger earned back-to-back NAIA Women's Golfer of the Week honors after winning the Carey Collegiate Classic and The Invite at Innisbrook. Kataria won the Roadrunners Women's Fall Invitational giving the Lady Birds three straight individual medalists to go with two team wins and a runner-up finish in their last three events.
 
NAIA Top Five
  1. Keiser (Fla.) (9 first-place votes) – 90 points
  2. Dalton State (Ga.) – 80 points
  3. Marian (Ind.) – 73 points
  4. SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) – 62 points
  5. SCAD Savannah (Ga.) – 55 points
The next Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll will be released on Friday, November 14, giving Dalton State another opportunity to climb even higher.
