GREENVILLE, Ala. – It was a rough start to Round 2 for #5 Dalton State and it led to a team score of 313 (+25) that saw the Lady Roadrunners go from an 8-shot lead to trailing by 13 shots in the SSAC Championship at RTJ Cambrian Ridge in Greenville, Ala. on Tuesday.
 
#8 William Carey (Miss.) shot 292 (+4) to take the lead from #5 Dalton State (Ga.). #15 Loyola (La.) (294, +6) remains 3^rd, now just two shots ahead of the Lady Birds. (RV) Blue Mountain Christian (Miss.) (316, +28) is 4^th, with Point (Ga.) (326, +38) rounding out the top-5.

ROUND 2
Sydney Hermann shot the best round for the Lady Roadrunners with a 3-over 75 and remains in the lead by two shots. Sara Burger recovered nicely after a rough front 9 to post 6-over 78 as the #2 score. She dropped into a tie for 6^th after Round 2.
 
Mailey Buzzell and Jia Kataria carded matching 8-over 80 scores and are tied for 11^th and solo 22^nd, respectively. Hanna Bullard was the 5^th score with an 84 (+12). Ella Cress matched Buzzell and Kataria with 8-over 80 and is tied for 18^th.
 
UP NEXT
#5-ranked Dalton State will attempt a final-round comeback on Wednesday at RTJ Cambrian Ridge in Greenville, Ala. The Lady Birds will begin teeing off at 8:00 a.m. (CT).
