Lady Birds Fall On The Road At Life (Ga.)


MARIETTA, Ga. – The Lady Roadrunner defense played tough for 90 minutes but it wasn't enough to grab a win or a tie as a late goal by #12 Life (Ga.) proved to be the difference in the match as Dalton State fell on the road to the Running Eagles 1-0 at Lupo Family Field in Marietta on Thursday evening.

  • (1-0 LU) LU: Gabby Cruzado took a lead pass from Jeanne Brigand and cut towards the middle where she put a ball past Brooke Alvarez in the 75' for the deciding goal.
THE REST OF THE STORY
Dalton State (Ga.) falls to (6-4-3 overall, 4-4-2 SSAC) with the loss, while #12 Life (Ga.) improves to (12-3-1 overall, 7-2-1 SSAC) with the win. Brooke Alvarez played great in net, allowing just a single goal and collecting 9 saves.

Dalton State will be on the road again for their final game of the regular season as they travel to Mount Vernon, Ga., on Saturday, October 26, to take on Brewton-Parker (Ga.). Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
