#1 Dalton State Collects Hard Fought Road Win At (RV) Life (Ga.)


MARIETTA, Ga. – #1-ranked Dalton State notched a big road win on Thursday night, getting a second-half goal and holding on for a 1-0 win over (RV) Life (Ga.) at Lupo Family Field in Marietta.

  • (1-0 DS) DS: Jesus Huitanda lined up for a corner kick in the 78' and nailed it into the box, where Leonardo Seixas headed it back to Juan Demechelis, who knocked a header into the back of the net.
THE REST OF THE STORY
#1 Dalton State (Ga.) improves to (13-0-2 overall, 7-0-2 SSAC) on the season with the win, while (RV) Life (Miss.) falls to (9-4-2 overall, 5-4-0 SSAC) with the loss. Juan Demechelis gets goal number four on the year with Leonardo Seixas and Jesus Huitanda nabbing assists.
 
Shots were fairly even with DS having a 13-10 overall advantage and a 5-2 edge in shots on goal. Nicolas Leite collects another clean sheet in the win.
 
UP NEXT
#1 Dalton State concludes the regular season with a road match at Brewton-Parker (Ga.) on Saturday, October 26. Kickoff from Mount Vernon, Ga. is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
