3/20/2023 11:26:00 AM

WOMEN
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - British Columbia remains atop the leaderboard in the latest edition of the NAIA Women's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Poll. Dalton State (Ga.) overtakes Oklahoma City for second place followed by Keiser (Fla.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) each leaping up four places.

The Lady Roadrunners got a head-to-head victory over Oklahoma City in the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, propelling them to the #2 position. DS placed 4th out of 16 teams, 14 of which were NCAA DI opponents in the tournament last week.

By The Numbers
This is the 57th NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll to be released since the women's golf program has been eligible for national rankings. Of the 57, Dalton State has been ranked in all 57 polls. They have been ranked inside the top-15 in all 57 polls, in the top-10 53 times and in the top-5 47 times. The highest ranking the Lady Roadrunners have achieved in program history is #1 on the May 13, 2021 poll.

Poll Methodology
• The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
• Each conference is represented by one rater.
• The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.
• The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
• Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered "receiving votes.
