Roadrunners Avenge Early Season Loss To Stillman

  • Franklin Almonte got hot hitting two three-pointers to help the Birds go up by 14 points (28-14) with 5:12 left in the half.

  • A quick basket from SC cut the lead to 14 points (38-24) at halftime.
THE SECOND HALF
  • A rejuvenated Stillman came out of the half with stout man-to-man defense and got back into the contest, cutting the DS lead to 8 points at the 16:40 mark.
  • DS answered and kept answering as they maintained an 8-12-point lead.
  • Derrick Finklea and Devin Merriweather hit big shots for Stillman but Sean Cobb, Carterius Evans, and Brad Milliorn did their part to counter with equally big buckets.
  • Finklea cut the lead to 6 points with 2:50 left and did so again with 24 ticks on the clock but the Roadrunners were too much as they walked away with a 63-60 win.
