Tigers Use Late Run To Outlast Roadrunners


DALTON, Ga. – Dalton State once again held the lead late but Stillman took advantage of their opportunities to come away with a 74-68 win over Dalton State in SSAC action at Mashburn Arena in Dalton on Saturday afternoon.
 
DS led by six with just over 3 minutes to go, but a 9-0 Stillman saw them take a 3-point lead. They would collect a steal and hit a layup on the ensuing fast break to put the game out of reach.
 
Nasir Cassel led the Roadrunners with 19 points going 8-of-11 from the field and 3-for-5 from deep. Rodley Adjei added 16 points and 5 assists, while Donavan Miller poured in 13 points.
 
The Tigers were led in scoring by Trey Petty with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Devin Merriweather contributed 18 and dished out 5 assists.
