Roadrunners Play Strong Again Against A Very Good Talladega (Ala.) Squad


MONTGOMERY, Ala. – For the third time this season, Dalton State held the halftime lead over Talladega (Ala.), but the #6 Tornadoes once again found a way to win the contest as they prevailed by a score of 70-58 over the Roadrunners in the second round of the SSAC Tournament at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex in Montgomery, Ala. on Thursday night.
 
For the last time in his career, Rodley Adjei led the Birds with 16 points and 5 assists. He was the only player in double-figures, while Jaelin Ferrell hit 3 three-pointers and had 9 points. Three other Birds added 8 points in the loss.
 
Darryl Baker led the Tornadoes with 18 points and 2 rebounds. Edwin Louis added 12 points and 4 rebounds, while Jervay Green had 10 points and 6 boards.
 
The loss ends the Roadrunners season with a 14-16 record. They will be back with another campaign in the Fall of 2022.
