Birds Drop Third-Straight With Loss To Middle Georgia


COCHRAN, Ga. – Dalton State fell to 11-15 on the season with a 79-75 loss to Middle Georgia State in Southern States Athletic Conference play in Cochran on Tuesday evening.
 
Jaelin Ferrell hit 5 three's and 8 shots overall from the field to pace the Roadrunners with 23 points and 5 rebounds. Rodley Adjei and Donavan Miller also scored in double-figures with 20 and 16 points respectively.
 
Adjei also dished out 9 dimes on the evening. Franklin Almonte narrowly missed a double-double with 9 points and 10 boards.
 
Three Knights scored in double-digits led by Tristan Harper with 33 points and 9 rebounds. Tyler Willoughby had 11 points and 5 rebounds with Juwan Johnson chipping in 10 points and 6 rebounds.
 
It will be a quick turnaround for both teams as they meet again on Thursday, February 17 at Mashburn Arena in Dalton. Tip-Off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
