Roadrunners Pick Up Huge Overtime Win Over Crusaders

DALTON, Ga. – Dalton State picked up a big victory on Monday night with a 78-77 OT win over William Carey (Miss.) in SSAC action at Bandy Gym in Dalton. The game was a makeup contest originally scheduled for January 8.

Rodley Adjei led the Roadrunners with 27 points and 9 assists. Donovan Miller added 16 points including the clinching free throw in OT with 1 second left, while Igor Stokic pulled down 12 boards.

Maxwell Starwood paced the Crusaders with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Sayveon Bumpers contributed 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists with Emile Kazeneza, Zarkeichious Martin, and Jvari Thigpen posting 11 points each.

The Birds hit the road to take on Blue Mountain (Miss.) on Thursday, February 3 at 7:30 p.m. (CT) before they return home on Saturday, February 5 to matchup with Stillman (Ala.) on Homecoming.
