#1 Lady Roadrunners Five Back After First Round At SSAC Championship

GREENVILLE, Ala. – #1 Dalton State posted a 302 (+14) 1^st round and sits in 2^nd overall at the SSAC Championship at RTJ at Cambrian Ridge in Greenville, Ala.

#3 William Carey (Miss.) leads the Lady Roadrunners by 5 strokes after a 297 (+9). #13 Loyola (La.) is in 3^rd after a round of 305 (+17). Mobile (Ala.) at 342 (+54) and Faulkner (Ala.) at 350 (+62) round out the top-5.

RECAP
Three of the Lady Roadrunners in the lineup posted scores good enough for the top-5 led by Mailey Buzzell at even-par 72. Buzzell is tied for 3^rd, 4 strokes off the lead.

Cameron Daniel is 5^th at 2-over 74, with Sydney Hermann 1-stroke behind her in 6^th at 3-over 75. Megan Donahue got the last counter for the Lady Birds at 9-over 81 and is tied for 15^th. Isabel Rijos is tied for 20^th overall after a round of 11-over 83.

#1-ranked Dalton State still has 2 rounds left and will be paired with William Carey and Loyola for the 2^nd round tomorrow.
