#24 Roadrunners Rout Brewton-Parker (Ga.)


DALTON, Ga. – #24 Dalton State played a man up for a majority of the match and poured it on in a 10-0 rout of Brewton-Parker (Ga.) in SSAC soccer action at Lakeshore Park in Dalton on Saturday
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
  • (1-0 DS) DS: Guilherme Franca sent a beautiful through pass to a leading Justin Riescher who finished the play for a 1-0 lead in the 21'.
  • (2-0 DS) DS: Santiago Moore was the victim of a takedown from behind in the box and called for a Red Card for Tyreke Moore. It led to a penalty kick for Moore that he converted for the 2-goal lead. Brewton-Parker would be forced to play with 10 men the rest of the match.
  • (3-0 DS) DS: Zachary Perry scored in his 4th straight game in the 33'.
  • (4-0 DS) DS: Connor Nixon found Jeremiah Ruth 5 minutes later in the 38' to increase the lead to 4 goals.
  • (5-0 DS) DS: Perry found Franca for the 5th goal of the night just before the half in the 43'.
SECOND HALF
  • (6-0 DS) DS: Riescher assisted on Moore's 2nd goal in the 73'.
  • (7-0 DS) DS: Riescher made quick work on the next goal getting score in the 74'.
  • (8-0 DS) DS: It was Riescher again with the score in the 81' with Bryan Estrada getting the assist.
  • (9-0 DS) DS: Estrada found Riescher again in the early part of the 89' for yet another goal.
  • (10-0 DS) DS: A gassed Baron D gave up the second digit late in the 89' on another breakaway from Riescher.
THE REST OF THE STORY
Dalton State (Ga.) improves to 8-0-1overall (3-0 SSAC) with the win, while Brewton-Parker (Ga.) falls to 5-4 overall (1-2 SSAC) with the loss. Justin Riescher had a career game scoring 5 goals and assisting on another.
 
Santiago Moore collected two goals with Guilherme Franca, Jeremiah Ruth, and Zachary Perry also adding to the total with a goal each. Aaron Fraire was barely challenged in net only seeing 1 shot on frame and 2 total.
 
BY THE NUMBERS
Dalton State outshot Brewton-Parker 30-2 including a 24-1 clip on frame. Justin Riescher now leads the SSAC with 17 goals scored and has collected at least 1 goal in every match this season.
