MACON, Ga. – #24 Dalton State pushed their unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 1-0 win over a physical Middle Georgia State club at NeSmith Field in Macon on Thursday night.

(1-0 DS) DS: Justin Riescher got the Birds on the board with an assist from Matheus Fineto Gamileira. It proved to be the only goal the Roadrunners needed.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Dalton State (Ga.) improves to 9-0-1 overall (4-0 SSAC) with the win, while Middle Georgia falls to 3-3 overall (2-1 SSAC) with the win. Riescher added to his SSAC leading total with his 18^th goal of the season.

Matheus Fineto Gamileira picked up the assists on Riescher's goal. It was his 1^st of the season.

BY THE NUMBERS
Surprisingly, Middle Georgia outshot Dalton State 4-3 overall and 3-2 on frame. Kieran Hodges got is 4^th clean sheet in as many games in net for the Birds as he stopped all 3 shots he faced.

UP NEXT
#24-ranked Dalton State will hit their toughest stretch of matches to date when they begin a two-game homestand against ranked opponents. They will begin by hosting #3 William Carey (Miss.) on Thursday, March 18 before taking on #6 Mobile (Ala.) on Saturday, March 20.

Both matches will be at Lakeshore Park in Dalton. Kickoff on Thursday will be 7:30 p.m. with Saturdays match starting at 3:30 p.m.
