MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Dalton State had three players score in double-figures but it would not be enough as the Roadrunners dropped their second game-in-a-row with a 84-69 defeat to #7 Faulkner (Ala.) at Tine Davis Gymnasium in Montgomery, Ala. on Monday night.

THE FIRST HALF

  • Faulkner answered with an 18-2 run over the next 5 minutes to take 21-point lead (39-18).
  • Never giving up, the Roadrunners closed the half outscoring the Eagles 15-6 to cut the deficit to 12 points (45-33) at the half.

THE SECOND HALF

  • A Brandon Reeves trey with 8:05 to go matched the largest deficit of the game at 21 points (68-47).
  • The Birds shot 45% for the second half but only managed to trail by less that 15 once more throughout the game as Faulkner came away with an 84-69 win.
