#23 Roadrunners Go Wire-To-Wire In Winning AAC Fall Preveiw

ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. – #23-ranked Dalton State went wire-to-wire defeating the best in the Appalachian Athletic Conference to win the AAC Fall Preview at Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville on Monday and Tuesday.

#23 DS shot a tournament total of 891 (+27) to win by 6 strokes over #2 South Carolina-Beaufort at 897 (+33). #12 Point (Ga.) (903, +39) finished in 3^rd with (RV) Reinhardt (Ga.) in 4^th at 912 (+48). Cumberland (Tenn.) (927, +63) rounded out the top-5.

RECAP
It was Matthew Cleary once again leading the way for the Birds with a 3^rd place finish and all-tournament honors with rounds of 72-72-75 (219, +3). Joining him in the top-5 was Trevor Bassett in a tie for 4^th at 220 (+4).

Cole Wentworth continues to round into form with three rounds of 75 to finish in 12^th overall at 9-over. Davison Reynolds and Joshua Stern tied for 25^th overall with two other golfers with a score of 232 (+16).

UP NEXT
The #23 Roadrunners will be close to home next week, October 25 & 26, when they make the short trip to Chattanooga to compete in the Battle at Black Creek.
