#14 Roadrunners Score Four In Win Over Florida College


DALTON, Ga. – #14-ranked Dalton State picked up their 4th win-in-a-row defeating former SSAC member Florida College 4-0 in non-conference soccer action at Lakeshore Park Soccer Complex in Dalton on Saturday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
  • (1-0 DS) DS: Justin Riescher missed the initial kick but was able to side tap the ball to a waiting Jeremiah Ruth who knocked the first goal home in the 1'.
  • (2-0 DS) DS: Riescher got on the board in the 17' when Jurgen Ramirez found him off a corner set piece.
SECOND HALF
  • (3-0 DS) DS: Riescher did it all by himself in the 49' for the 3rd DS goal of the day.
  • (4-0 DS) DS: It was a hat trick for Riescher who polished the match off in the 64' with his 3rd goal of the afternoon.
THE REST OF THE STORY
#14 Dalton State (Ga.) improves to (7-3-1 overall, 2-1 SSAC) with the win, while Florida College falls to (4-7-1 overall) with the loss. Justin Riescher notched another 3-goal game and leads the team with 12 on the season. He also picked up his second assist. Jeremiah Ruth snatched his first goal of the season.

UP NEXT
The #14 Birds hit the road on Monday, October 18 when they travel to Nashville, Tenn. for one more non-conference affair as they take on Fisk (Tenn.). Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. (CT).
