Four Roadrunners Score In 5-0 Rout of Talladega (Ala)


DALTON, Ga. – Jurgen Ramirez scored twice and Connor Nixon picked up four points as #16 Dalton State picked a conference win over Talladega (Ala.) 5-0 in SSAC action at Lakeshore Park in Dalton on Saturday afternoon.

#16-ranked Dalton State (Ga.) improves to (5-3-1 overall, 1-1 SSAC) with the win, while Talladega (Ala.) falls to (2-8-1 overall, 0-4 SSAC) with the loss. Four Roadrunners scored on the day with Jurgen Ramirez snagging two goals.
 
Connor Nixon collected a goal and two assists, while Justin Riescher and Diego Fernandez also scored. Michael Barrueta and Nestor Mendez combined on the shutout with three saves.

UP NEXT
#16 Dalton State will be back on the pitch at Lakeshore Park on Saturday, October 16 when they take on former SSAC foe Florida College. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
