  • Dalton State managed to match Florida College basket-for-basket as they tried to chip into the lead.
  • A trey from C.J. Perry with 3:08 on the clock looked to seal the deal, but Florida College managed to put together one last run as the Roadrunners went cold from the field.
  • First, Ramon Cao got a bucket in the paint, while Matt Simpson and Ladarron Cleveland followed with 3's as the score stood at 61-58 with 1:09 remaining.
  • Simpson drew a foul after Hassell missed a shot and hit two free throws to make it 61-60 with 42 ticks on the clock.
  • C.J. Perry drew a foul and hit two from the charity stripe to give the Birds some cushion.
  • Perry then pulled down a board after a Jalon Perry miss and hit two more for a 5-point lead (65-60) with 13 seconds left.
  • Cleveland buried another 3 then a turnover that followed allowed Simpson to get a shot off to tie the game, but it missed as Dalton State held on for the 65-63 win.
