THE FIRST HALF
  • It was a tight game in the early going with Mobile holding a 10-7 lead five minutes in.

  • The Rams cut the lead to two after a Darius Curry basket with 6:31 until halftime, but Sean Cranney nailed a three-ball on the very next possession to get the lead back to five (24-19).
  • Scoring began to pick up as the half wound down with the Birds extending the lead to nine points (30-21) with just over four minutes to go.
  • They went on to hold the lead at the half, 34-27.

THE SECOND HALF
  • With five-straight points to start the half, Dalton State quickly stretched the lead to double-digits (39-27).
  • The Rams were quick to respond and slashed the deficit in half with a 6-0 run.
  • Another spurt from DS, this time and 11-2 run, made the lead 14 points (50-36) with 12:03 on the clock.
  • They added to the lead over the next five minutes of play to make the score 62-42 with 7:02 remaining in the contest.
  • Mobile attempted to whittle away at the lead, but Dalton State answered the call on every occasion leading by as many as 21 points at one moment.
  • The Rams added baskets down the stretch, but the Roadrunners collected the W, 73-56.
