DALTON, Ga. – Dalton State continues the 2018-19 season with road matchup with cross-state rival Middle Georgia State. The game is an important one for the Roadrunners who sit tied with MGA and Loyola (La.) for fourth in the conference standings. A win will go a long way as both the Wolf Pack and the Knights currently hold the tiebreaker on the Roadrunners.

Dalton State (Ga.) (13-9, 8-6 SSAC), in its first season under interim head coach Alex Ireland, is coming off a hard fought 93-87 win at Faulkner (Ala.) on Thursday night. Sean Cranney led the way with 24 points and connected on 5-of-9 shots from distance. With Dalton State leading by one, he scored five-straight to key a run that proved to be the difference in the game. The Roadrunners have won two-in-a-row and three of their last four heading into the contest on Saturday.

Middle Georgia State (13-6, 8-6 SSAC), in its 6th season under head coach Scott Moe, comes into the game having won four of their last five games. Their only loss in the stretch was to #20 Bethel (Tenn.) (95-88) on January 26. They have the ability to get hot from behind the arc, ranking in the top-15 in the country in three-point field goal percentage.

Saturday's game will have live stats provided through Dakstats.
