Lady Roadrunners Fall On The Road To Sewanee

SEWANEE, Tenn. – After getting two games above .500 on the season, the Dalton State Women's Soccer team has dropped three-straight after a 2-1 defeat to the Sewanee Tigers in Sewanee, Tenn. on Tuesday evening.

THE FIRST HALF
Sewanee got on the board first with a goal by Addie Roemershauser in the 11'. The Tigers outshot the Lady Roadrunners 6-5 in the half and took a 1-0 lead into the break.

THE SECOND HALF
Dalton State thoroughly dominated the half, getting 11 shots off and holding the Tigers to zero. Unfortunate circumstances led to a second Sewanee goal as a cross hit Keyle Snyder and deflected into the net for an own goal that game the Tigers a 2-0 lead.

The Lady Roadrunners fought back with Snyder finding some redemption in the process by collecting a goal in the 79' to cut the Tiger lead to one at 2-1. It would not be enough as Sewanee held on for a 2-1 win.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Dalton State (Ga.) falls to (4-5, 0-1 SSAC) with the loss, while Sewanee (Tenn.) improves to (3-4-2, 0-0-1 SAA) with the win. Keyle Snyder led the Lady Birds in shots 4 (2) and collected the only goal of the night for Dalton State in the 79'.
