Men's Basketball | 1/25/2019 12:42:00 PM

DALTON, Ga. – Dalton State continues the 2018-19 season Saturday afternoon with a 2:00 p.m. contest with Mobile (Ala.) at Mashburn Arena. It is the backend of a two-game home stand for the Roadrunners and it is Homecoming 2019: Unmasque Your Pride!

Dalton State (Ga.) (11-9, 6-6 SSAC), in its first season under interim head coach Alex Ireland, is coming off a tough home loss to #10 Stillman (Ala.) (72-69) on Thursday night. The Roadrunners had a great gameplan, but 22 turnovers hurt their bid to pull the upset. Elijah Staley continued his torrid stretch with 23 points, his fifth 20-point game in the last six contest. Dalton State has lost three of their past four games, all against three of the top four teams in the conference, Loyola (La.) (73-72) on January 17, #18 William Carey (Miss.) (98-85) on January 19, and #10 Stillman (Ala.) (72-68) on Thursday.

Mobile (Ala.) (7-10, 4-8 SSAC), in its 20th season under head coach Joe Niland, come into the matchup on Saturday losers of three-straight and seven of their last nine. They were in the game against Martin Methodist (Tenn.) on Thursday, but a late run from the Red Hawks sealed the deal in a 67-62 loss for the Rams. Toni-Tony Wright recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 21 points and 10 rebounds, but Mobile only had two players score in double-figures. Head Coach Niland comes into the game with a record of 471-333 overall in 25 seasons. His is 344-273 since taking the helm for the Rams.

Saturday's game will be live streamed live on Rage Network.
