#23 Roadrunners Tangle With #16 Bryan College Tonight At Lakeshore Park

DALTON, Ga. - There will be a big Top 25 matchup in Dalton when the #23 Roadrunners tangle with #16 Bryan (Tenn.) tonight at Lakeshore Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

The #23 Roadrunners are coming off a win against Oakwood (Ala.) on Sunday where they scored a season high 11 goals. Juan Zapata came up big with a hat trick, while five other Roadrunners tallied a goal. Santiago Moore leads the team with 11 total points (3 goals, 5 assists), while freshman Kevin Villatoro has come on strong in the early season with three goals to tie for the team lead. Juan Zapata and Isael Gutierrez quarterback a stingy Dalton State defense that has allowed only eight goals on the season. The Birds will have to play disciplined defense if they expect to win the match tonight.

BRYAN
The #16 Lions come into the contest tonight 4-2 overall. They are led offensively by Brad Spooner and Charlie Clarke. Combined they have 18 shots on goal with 7 of those slipping past the goal keeper. Dalton State will have to contain Spooner and Clarke if they are going to have a chance at victory. Bryan is just as stingy on defense as the Roadrunners, allowing just nine goals thus far this season. Netminder Alex Horton is a tough opponent in goal, with 13 saves on the year. Expect Dalton State to jump out on the attack early against the Lions and attempt to rattle Horton.
