DALTON, Ga. - The 5th-ranked Dalton State Roadrunners will look to get back to their winning ways when they match-up against Middle Georgia State tonight at Mashburn Arena.  Tip-Off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

DALTON STATE
The Roadrunners are in unfamiliar territory having dropped their last two games and a once comfortable lead in the conference standings has now become a battle with 5 games left in the regular season.  Fatigue could be seen as a factor in the last two games with several Roadrunners battling slight illnesses due to the up and down weather conditions in the South lately.  With a few days off to recover, Dalton State will look to establish the inside game with Carnilious Simmons.  The junior from Atlanta is averaging 14.7 points and 9.4 rebounds per game and leads the conference in blocks per game.  Outside, look for the duo of Isaiah Box and Mike Harden to penetrate and create open looks for Reed Dungan and Mon'Darius Black.  The Roadrunners have their backs against the wall now.  How will they respond will be the question.

MIDDLE GEORGIA STATE
Middle Georgia comes into the contest tonight 11-12 overall, 6-9 in the SSAC and losers of their last 4 games.  The unquestioned leader of the Knights is Kieston Standfield.  The conference Player of the Year candidate averages a double-double with 18.13 points and 10.17 rebounds per game.  His rebounding total ranks him in the top 5 in the country.  As a team, the Knights rank 3rd in defensive rebounds per game (32.9) and 4th in total rebounds per game (45.4).  If the Roadrunners slow Stanfield down, they will have to keep Roshaun Milline honest.  The only other Knight to average double-digits in scoring is streaky, but can hurt you if left alone.  This game will be won on the glass.  Dalton State will have to attack the offensive glass and get second chance opportunities if they are to break their two game losing streak.
