Man Scores Twice As #19 Roadrunners Snap Bethel Winning Streak

DALTON, Ga. - Jordan Man scored twice, while Daniel Valenciano and Santiago Moore each notched a goal as #19 Dalton State snapped (RV) Bethel's four game winning streak in a 4-3 win at Lakeshore Park Soccer Complex on Thursday night.

THE FIRST HALF
The high powered Bethel attack came out pushing early, but the Dalton State D stepped up and halted the attack. The teams would trade possession for most of the first half until the 38' when Jerry Wiltsher found the back of the net for a 1-0 Bethel lead. The lead would be short lived as Santiago Moore found a cutting Daniel Valenciano on a corner kick in the 41' to tie the score at 1-1 going into the half.

THE SECOND HALF
The Roadrunners would start the second half on fire. Taeylor Fisch would intercept a ball in the Bethel half at the 49' mark and head it to Jordan Man who did the rest, beating Bethel goalkeeper Marco Taaffe to give Dalton State a 2-1 lead.

Man would strike again four minutes later with his second goal, blazing through the Bethel defense like a fighter jet and putting a Santiago Moore cross past Taaffe for a 3-1 lead. Bethel would claw back as Vincius Rebeiro slid past the Roadrunner D and beat Samuel Fraire to make it a one goal game at 3-2.

Moore would continue to have a big night as well, adding a goal to his two assist in the 67' on a pretty assist from Daniel Valenciano to extend the lead to 4-2. Bethel would cut the lead back to one goal at 4-3 in the 70' when Jaiquan Bristol sent a shot past Fraire. Bethel would have two more opportunities to tie the match, but the Roadrunner D held tight as Dalton State held on for the 4-3 victory.

#19 Dalton State improves to (8-3 overall, 1-2 SSAC) with the win and snaps their two game losing streak, while (RV) Bethel drops to (9-3 overall, 2-1 SSAC) with the loss.
