Running Eagles Out Run Roadrunners

MARIETTA, Ga. - The Dalton State Women's Volleyball team dropped a tough match at Life University tonight 3-0. The Roadrunners got out hot in the first set, quickly taking a 3-0 lead. The Running Eagles came back to tie the set at seven. The set went back and forth until Life took control late to win 25-22.

Life jumped out to a quick 10-6 lead in the second set, going on to win 25-15. The third set was much of the same with Life gaining an early 5-1 lead.
The Roadrunners would fight back to close to within two at 13-11. Life would take command at that point and ended on a 12-7 run to close it out.

Grace Hardin led the Roadrunners with 7 kills. Ryan Burke add 6 kills of her own in the losing effort.

The Roadrunners return home on Thursday night for their 2016 home opener against Bethel University. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
