The No. 5 ranked Dalton State men's tennis team (11-4 overall, 7-1 SSAC) shut-out visiting Brewton-Parker 9-0 Friday afternoon in the first ever intercollegiate match at the school's on campus courts.

"It's great anytime you can come out and get a 9-0 win," said Coach Zack Rogers. "I am really happy with the way the guys played today. It's great to get a match in on campus. We'd love to have a bigger presence on campus."

Rogers shifted the line-up some against the first year Brewton-Parker tennis team. "We maintained focus. I was able to get a couple of guys in who haven't played in a while. Juan Pablo hasn't played since his freshman year. To see him get a 6-20, 6-0 win was great. I hope we will carry the momentum into our match Monday against Warner (FL.), ranked 21^st in the country, and continue to work toward the national tournament and the conference tournament."

Brewton-Parker has just five players.

Dalton State tennis teams will host Warner University of Florida beginning at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Lakeshore Park Tennis Center.
