Coastal Georgia Downs DS Volleyball

The College of Coastal Georgia (9-0, 2-0) used excellent net play bolstered by 34 assists from setter Cayley Meiners to sweep Dalton State Saturday afternoon at B.J. Bandy Gym (25-15, 25-10, 25-11).

Meiners managed to spread the love around. She helped Rachel Edmonson earn nine kills. Kara Neisen and Maddie Bounds each had eight kills.

Michala Askey had 11 assists and seven digs for the Roadrunners. Anna Metzler had eight digs.

Dalton State (4-2, 1-1) next travels to Chattanooga to play at Tennessee Temple on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. The next home match will be on September 26 when Belhaven comes in for a 7:00 p.m. conference battle.
