Our Richard Skeel Is Named Dalton's Kiwanian of the Year




Richard Skeel, Senior Associate Athletic Director at Dalton State, was recognized by the Kiwanis Club of Dalton on Monday as "Kiwanian of the Year."

Skeel is Chairman of the Sponsored Youth Committee of Kiwanis. This committee is over the Dalton State Circle K Club as well as Key Club's at (in alphabetical order) Coahulla Creek High, Dalton High, Murray County High, North Murray High, Northwest Whitfield, and Southeast Whitfield.

He is also on the civic club's Board of Directors.

Staff and athletes in the Dalton State athletic department are encouraged to be involved in the community. It is part of our commitment to community service and the NAIA Champions of Character program.


Coach Skeel was surprised by the recognition.
