Dalton Men and Women Down Point In Tennis
Dalton State Tennis Teams Take Point UniversityDalton State tennis teams knocked-off Point University Thursday at Lakeshore Park Tennis Center.
The Roadrunner men's team (10-3) defeated the 7-7 Skyhawks 8-1 and the DS women (8-3) downed 1-13 Point 9-0.
"I thought the guys played pretty well," said Roadrunner tennis Coach Zach Rogers. "We had 13 days off since out last match and that's not necessarily a good thing in tennis."
In men's doubles:

"I'm very proud of our performances," said Coach Michel Bates. "We played Point earlier in the season and easily won. Staying focused was extremely vital and they did just that."
"Conditions were tough with the wind," added Bates. "They did just what I asked them to do."

Dalton State's scheduled action Friday with SCAD Atlanta has been postponed. Our men and women will host Tennessee Wesleyan beginning at 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
