Coastal Georgia Nips DS Volleyball

Brunswick, GA – The Southern States Athletic Conference regular season champions College of Coastal Georgia Lady Mariners downed Dalton States Saturday in straight sets.

Coastal Georgia took the first set 25-20, won the second set 25-21 and clipped DS in the final game 25-22.

Kianna Delaney had nine kills and Alyne Bianchi added eight for Dalton State. Karly Newman had 14 digs and Clarissa Webber 9.

The Lady Mariners go into next week's conference tournament with an unbeaten 18-0 SSAC record and 29-1 overall. The Lady Roadrunners drop to 10-8 in the conference and 15-11 overall. The conference tournament begins Thursday at the Cromton Bowl Multiplex in Montgomery.
