Veronica Summers has been with Dalton State for 17 years. Summers experience at Dalton State includes Athletics, Alumni Affairs, Financial Aid, Admissions, International Admissions, and the Adult Learning Consortium Complete College Georgia initiative through The University System of Georgia. She is a certified Council for Adult and Experiential Learning advisor.
Veronica is an honor graduate with a B.S. in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Public Administration. She has been with the Athletics Department since 2015 and reports directly to the Executive Director of Athletics.
Ms. Summers direct responsibilities include maintaining full compliance with department financial operations, managing all student-athlete support, public relations and networking, fundraising, and special events designed to enhance college visibility and engagement, and supervising and managing all department leads on matters involving policy adherence and fiscal integrity related to the college, and all governing authority policies.
Summers is the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Senior Woman Leader representative for Dalton State, serves on the College Athletics Committee, Senator for Staff Council, and the Liaison for NAIA Champions of Character.
Veronica has a son (Austin) who resides in Bend, Oregon, a daughter (Madison), son-in-law (Logan) and a granddaughter (Harper), all living in Dalton.
