Biography

2021-22 (5th Year Senior):
Got off to a slow start in the first race of the season but bounced back to run a PR of 19:10 and a 9th place finish in the North Georgia Invitational...Ran an impressive 19:51 at the Louisville Classic to another solid finish on the season.

2020-21 (4th Year Junior):

Kay is set to begin her season as a 4th year junior for the Lady Roadrunners.

2019-20 (Junior):
Had two top 5 finishes in four events with a best finish of 4th through the Fall...Recorded a season best 5K time of 19:47 in the Sand Shark Invitational on 10/19...She finished top 10 at the 2019 SSAC Cross County Championship and earned All-SSAC honors.

2018-19 (Sophomore):
Started off the cross country season strong with a 4th place finish at the MGA Invitational and a 6th place finish at the Tiger Invitational...Her performance in the MGA Invitational earned her SSAC Player of the Week honors for the week of Sept. 3-9, 2018...She finished the cross country season by coming home 9th in the SSAC Championship to lock up All-Conference honors...She ran the 1600M leg of the Distance Medley Relay during the track season and helped break the school-record by over 30 seconds at the Savannah State Relays...She continued her strong season on the track by running the fastest time of the year for a Lady Roadrunner in the 1500M, a 5:08 at the SSAC Championships...She polished the year off by being named to the SSAC All-Academic Track & Field team.

2017-18 (Freshman):
She burst on the scene with a 16:29 4K time in the Sewanee Cross Country Invitational...She continued to be the #3 runner on the team until mid-season when she dropped her average time by one minute to assume the #2 position...Kay ended the cross country year with a 13th place finish at the SSAC Championship to garner All-Conference honors...In her first event during the track season, Kay lopped a whopping two minutes off of the school-record in the 10,000M...She continued to have a strong freshman campaign by setting a PR in the 5000M at the Berry Field Day Invitational and running a very competitive times in the 1500M...She also became the second Lady Roadrunner-in-a-row to win the 10,000M as a freshman at the SSAC Track & Field Championships to earn All-Conference recognition.
