Sherman Howze

Sherman joined the Roadrunner Sports Medicine staff in 2014 and was elevated to the position of Head Athletic Trainer in 2016.

He aspired to become an athletic trainer because he wanted to help every student in every aspect of their life. "I want to be a joy in my athletes' life," said Howze. "My goal is to be there for my athletes. Not just for their injuries, but for any problems they might have."

Howze received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Mobile in 2011, where he became a Certified Athletic Trainer and worked with the South Alabama football team. During the Summer, he worked at the Ralph Lundy Soccer Academy at the University of West Georgia.

He then followed with his Masters in Kinesioloy from the University of Texas - Tyler in 2013, where he served in a graduate assistant position with Trinity Mother Francis and worked under Texas College covering men's and women's soccer, women's basketball and softball.

In 2016, he married Catilyn Wright and the two reside in Dalton. Together they have two sons, Saint and Shiloh. During his time off, he enjoys fishing, reading, fitness, and being outside.
