Natalie Espinoza-Hensley
Women's Cross Country
Natalie earned All-SSAC for her second place finish behind teammate Emily Poole at the 2015 Conference Championships in Clinton, Ms. She was also named to the SSAC All-Academic and Champions of Character teams. Her season best time of 19:03.9 resulted in a 84th place finish at the NAIA National Championships in Clinton, Ms.
Espinoza-Hensley started her Roadrunner career in 2014 earning 1st team All Conference and SSAC Newcomer of the Year honors.
The 2013 graduate of Heritage High School in Catoosa County was a member of the Lady General XC teams that received a lot of state recognition, including team state champions during her junior year.
As an individual, she has won the Region 6 AAA title and finished 9th in the state. Her personal best 5k time is 19:26 (down from a previous19:44:89). Natalie was also on the Lady General's swim team.
Espinoza-Hensley has jumped off to a solid start in her college career. The team didn't have enough runners to compete for the team title in the September 6 PowerAde Invitational, hosted by UT Chattanooga, at the Moccasin Bend XC Course, but Natalie finished the two mile run with a time of 12:23:89.
Dalton State women finished third on September 13th in the 5K Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Georgia College & State University, in Milledgeville. Natalie led the Lady Roadrunners with a time of 20:31.
The Lady Roadrunners were third again in the Mercer Invitational on Septembert 28. Natalie led the way with a third place individual time.
She is the daughter of Anne and Richard Hensley.
