Biography
Adam Hornby is a 6'1", 170 lbs. junior who came to the United States all the way from New Zealand to play men's tennis. He attended Riccarton High School in his hometown, Christchurch. He said the reason he came to Dalton State is because he wanted to start something great!
Hornby and Nikiforov are the 15th ranked doubles team in the country in NAIA. Hornby is the 42nd ranked singles player in NAIA.
Hornby's accomplishments include, Canterbury Men's Interclub winner, Otago Men's Open winner, Queenstown Men's Open winner, and Canterbury Junior Representitive (12's, 14's, and 16's).
Born in England, Hornby has dual citizenship with New Zealand and Barbados. His brother plays at West Florida University. They have long term plans to represent Barbados in the Davis cup.
Hornby is a business major who "enjoys eating grandma's pumpkin fritters, listening to Drake and J-Cole, and hanging out with friends." He hopes to one day become a business owner.
