Spencer Head
Men's Cross Country
Spencer Head broke his own course record by 28 seconds at the 2015 North Georgia Invitational. He also won the Greater Louisville Classic and Sand Shark Invitational
Head's second place finish (25:56) in the 2015 Southern States Athletic Champions in Clinton, Ms. earned him All-SSAC honors. He was All-SSAC Academics. Spencer finished seventh at 25:36.9 in the NAIA National Championships in Raleigh, NC., but his season's best was at the NAIA Preview (26:16.9).
He was also 1st Team All-SSAC in 2014 when he was named Conference Newcomer of the Year.
Head came to Dalton State from Missouri Valley College in Marhall, Missouri, where he was an NAIA Indoor All American. His best 8k time is 25:20.
Head is a graduate of Camas High School in Camas, Washington and was the Washington State champ in the 800 meter. He was ranked 48th in the 2013-2014 NAIA outdoor qualifier for cross country.
Spencer is a Dean's List student who also enjoys going to the river, Nintendo, watching football and Braves baseball.
