Dalton State College Athletics

Laura-Sophie Winter is the only senior on the Dalton State women's tennis team. One of the original members of the team, she has been a captain since joining the Roadrunners in 2013 as a transfer from Cameron University.

She plays #1 singles and #1 doubles for DS. She was a 2014-2015 NAIA Dakstats All-American. Laura was born and raised in Berlin, Germany where she has won the Berlin Championships under 12 and under 14.

Winter was a member of the 2014-2015 SSAC All-Academic team, was an FSG Bank Scholar in 2014, and has spent four consecutive semesters on the DS Dean's List. 

The business management major is schedule to graduate in May, 2016. She wants to stay and work in the United States after graduation.

In her spare time, Winter enjoys eating Nutella, listening to German music, and shopping.
