Lady Roadrunners Open Spring At No. 2 In Mizuno WGCA NAIA Coaches Poll

FRISCO, Texas. — Dalton State debuted at No. 2 in the first Mizuno WGCA NAIA Coaches Poll of the spring, the Women's Golf Coaches Association announced today from Frisco, Texas. The Lady Roadrunners earned the second spot on the strength of a runner-up finish at the Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite, opening the semester with steady form and momentum against a strong field.
 
Keiser (Fla.) retained the unanimous No. 1 position after a win at the Coastal Georgia Women's Winter Invitational and a third-place showing at the Babs Steffens Invitational. Marian (Ind.) holds at No. 3 as the top three remain unchanged to begin the spring slate.
 
Dalton State's rise reflects the Lady Roadrunners' consistency and depth through the lineup, highlighted by the fast start at Kinderlou Forest. With the spring championship season underway, Dalton State has positioned itself among the national contenders, aiming to build on last year's foundation with a veteran core and impactful newcomers.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition.
