Lady Roadrunners Fall To #12 Life (Ga.), 5–0 At Dalton Stadium


DALTON, Ga. - Dalton State women's soccer dropped a 5–0 decision to #12 Life (Ga.), as the visitors struck twice inside the opening two minutes and built a four-goal halftime cushion before adding one after the break.

Goalkeeper Maggie Rickerd battled throughout, recording 13 saves over the full 90 minutes while the Roadrunners generated seven second-half shots in response.
 
FIRST HALF
Life opened the scoring at 0:59 through Phoenix Parks and doubled the lead at 1:37 when Parks finished a feed from Sacha Millward. Millward made it 3–0 in the 16th minute, and Faith Martin added a fourth at 16:41 off an assist from Victoria Valles.
Dalton State's best look of the half came at 14:01, when Tania Dominguez forced a save from Elora Niederpruem. The visitors outshot the Roadrunners 21–1 and earned an 8–0 edge in corners during the opening 45 minutes.
 
SECOND HALF
The Running Eagles added their fifth at 51:54 on an unassisted strike from Kayla McMillian. Dalton State responded with sustained pressure: Aoife Saunders fired in the 48th minute (wide) and later tested the keeper at 54:53, while Ria Cox saw efforts blocked at 54:39 and 58:42 and went just wide at 69:54. Sophia Calkins forced a save at 69:38, and Amy Wearing added another on-frame attempt at 84:11, but Life's defense held firm to preserve the shutout. Rickerd continued to stand tall in goal, making multiple stops after the interval to finish with 13 saves on 18 shots on target faced.
