Second Half Goals Lead William Carey (Miss.) Over Dalton State


HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Dalton State held tough but #1 William Carey (Miss.) proved to be too much as the Lady Saders defeated the Lady Roadrunners 2-0 at Crusader Field in Hattiesburg, Miss. on Saturday.

  • (1-0 WC) WC: Mariangela Jimenez finally got the Lady Saders on the board with a goal in the 46' with an assist from Marina Sonet.
  • (2-0 WC) WC: Valeria Barajas and Kaylie Agostine connected on the second Carey goal in the 80'.
THE REST OF THE STORY
Dalton State (Ga.) falls to (5-6 overall, 1-1 SSAC) with the loss, while #1 William Carey (Miss.) improves to (10-0 overall, 2-0 SSAC) with the win. Brooke Alvarez played magnificent in goal with 10 saves. The shot advantage went to the Lady Saders 26-5 with a 12-2 clip on frame.
