Lady Roadrunners Open Conference Play Tonight At #4 William Carey
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Dalton State will open SSAC play tonight when they match up with defending conference champion #4 William Carey (Miss.) at Crusader Field in Hattiesburg, Miss. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. (CDT).

The Lady Roadrunners are 6-1-1 overall on the season and riding a five game winning streak, but begin their toughest road trip of the season tonight with the #4-ranked Lady Crusaders. The defense will have to play hard tonight as Carey likes to attack and attack often. They will have ample opportunities with the way they like to press a defense. It will be up to netminder
Rachel Hardin to keep the game within reach for Dalton State. The Lady Crusader defense is as good as their offense.

WILLIAM CAREY
The Lady Crusaders come into the match a perfect 8-0 overall and as the #4-ranked team in the country. They spread the ball around the pitch offensively scoring 18 goals as a team, but no one with more than three goals individually. They are coming off a win against Mid South Conference opponent University of the Cumberland's where they out shot the Lady Patriots 19-9 overall. Carey averages 20 shots per game with 11 of those coming on goal, good for top 25 in the country in each category. The Roadrunner defense will be tested, and it will have contain the Lady Crusader offense if they are to win.
