DALTON, Ga. – The University of Mobile won the inaugural Southern States Athletic Conference Cheer Championship Saturday afternoon at Bandy Gymnasium in Dalton, Ga., and 10 student-athletes earned SSAC All-Conference honors.

Several awards were handed out at the 2017 SSAC Cheer & Dance Awards Banquet Saturday evening.

Highlighting the evening, was Dalton State's Robyn Pursley being chosen as Coach of the Year and Dalton State earning the Team Sportsmanship award. Twenty-three student-athletes earned All-Academic honors and each team chose a Champions of Character representative.
