Dalton, Ga. – The No. 5 ranked Dalton State men's tennis team continued to roll on Saturday with an 8-1 win over NCAA D-II Shorter University at Lakeshore Park.

"It was another great match for the guys," said DS Coach Zack Rogers. "We came out fast and took all three doubles lines and brought that same intensity into singles play."

Doubles:

1.    Edberg Espinoza/Joe Bray (DS) def. Louis Tourtois/Jimmy Kerjouan (SU) 8-4

2.    Adam Hornby/Nikolay Nikiforov (DS) def. Arthur Amat/Talha Zubain (SU) 8-1

3.    Jose Ruda/Sebastian Dartnell (DS) def. Patrick Sanders/Robert Watson (SU) 8-5

"Adam Hornby continues to be an anchor in our lineup winning his 14^th straight singles match," said Rogers. "We have to get back to work on Monday and continue to prepare for the conference tournament."

2.    Jimmy Kerjouan (SU) def. Jose Ruda (DS) 6-2, 6-3

The Roadrunners (15-4 overall, 8-1 SSAC) are now on a 12-match win streak. The Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament will be held April 22-23 at the Mobile (Ala.) Tennis Center.

The Shorter Hawks fall to 8-11 on the season. They remain 4-6 in NCAA Division Two's Gulf South Conference. They will play in the GSC Tournament on April 14-17.
