The (RV) Dalton State women's team knocked-off SSAC opponents Bethel University (Tenn.) Saturday afternoon at Lakeshore Park Tennis Center.
The Lady Roadrunners improved to 6-9 on the season and 4-5 against teams from within the conference with the 9-0 shutout of the visiting Wildcats ((1-11 overall, 1-7 SSAC).
"Today was a great win," said Coach Michel Bates. "I was not sure what we were going to be up against. It was nice going into the singles matches 3-0. I am very pleased at how all of the girls competed. Our conference is so tough on the tennis side. I look forward to going into the SSAC Tournament."
Bethel only brought four girls to the match and would have had to win combination of five of the remaining six lines to come out ahead.
