Roadrunners Shoot Down Shorter Hawks
 
Rome, Ga. – The Dalton State men's tennis team ran their record to 13-4 Wednesday with a narrow 5-4 victory over NCAA Division II Shorter University (3-16) at Walter Attaway Tennis Complex.
 
The host Hawks captured two of the three doubles matches. The Roadrunners then won four of six singles contests for the team win.
 
 
In doubles:

1. Alexis Catallion and Marc Guerry (Shorter) def. Hadyn Fava and Juan Pablo Arguello (DS), 8-2.
2. Nikolay Nikiforov and Adam Hornby (DS) def. Louis Tortois and Cody Carr (Shorter), 9-7.
3. Pavlovic and Watson (Shorter) def. David Draghiceanu and Lucas de Souza (DS), 8-6.

In singles:

1. Marc Guerry (Shorter) def. David Draghiceanu (DS), 6-2, 7-6 (2)
2. Nikolay Nikiforov (DS) def. Louis Tortois (Shorter), 6-2, 6-3.
3. Alexis Catillion (Shorter) def. Juan Pablo Arguello (DS), 6-3, 6-2.
4. Adam Hornby (DS) def. Arturo Lifshitz (Shorter), 6-2, 7-6 (2).
5. Lucas de Souza (DS) def. Robert Watson (Shorter), 6-1, 6-1.
6. Hadyn Fava (DS) def. Cody Carr (Shorter), 6-4, 7-5.
