Lady Roadrunners Drop Home Game To Coastal Georgia, 3-0
Dalton State Volleyball Falls to Mariners
Dalton, Ga. – The College of Coastal Georgia volleyball Mariners survived a tight first game at Mack Gaston Community Center, but went on to defeat our Lady Roadrunners in straight sets Sunday, 3-0
Game one was close all of the way with the lead changing numerous times. Dalton State's last lead of the set was at 25-24. Coastal Georgia went on to win 29-27.
The second set was close through the early going, but CCG never trailed. The Lady Mariners led by one at 17-16, but scored eight of the final 10 points for the easy 25-18 victory.
Coastal Georgia scored the first five points in set three and won going away. The Lady Mariners led 10-1, 14-2, 18-4, and the largest lead was at 24-9. The final was 25-11.

The Lady Roadrunner's Alyne Bianchi had 7 kills and 14 digs. Clarissa Weber had 9 assists and Michala Askew added 8.
Cayley Meiners led the visitors with 17 assists. Kara Nelson of CCG had 9 kills.
College of Coastal Georgia upped their overall record to 19-9. The Lady Roadrunners dropped to 6-12.
Dalton State will entertain Oakwood University Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at Mack Gaston Community Center.
It will be "Green Out" night as the Roadrunner Athletic Department raises money for the Green House, the area's child abuse center.
The department is selling "Green Out" T-Shirts for $10 each with proceeds going to a fund the move of expensive playground equipment to the facility.
