Good Turnout For Tennis Tryouts - Dalton State College Athletics

May 7, 2013 - Dalton State tennis coaches Michel Bates and Zach Rogers were pleased with the turnout at Tuesday's tryouts at the Lakeshore Park Tennis Center, home of Roadrunner Tennis.

Seventeen athletes competed at the event. There was a mixture of high school seniors and college students hoping to be a part of the very first DS athletic program.

Most of the competitors were local and the longest drive for the event was from Cumming. Dalton State athletics begin in the fall. The program will be a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
